It used to be a LOT better than it is now. The desserts and salads were wonderful. But the meat was tough as shoe leather and so was the lobster.. on TWO separate occasions.

To the commenter below....the whole point of fondue is to cook it yourself. How this could have escaped you, especially since the restaurant is listed "The Melting Pot, a fondue restaurant" is kind of strange.
The price you pay is well worth the romantic atmosphere. It is VERY elegent. Reservations are very helpful or you might not even be seated. I can personally say that my experience was extravagant. I had long stem roses waiting for me, a very private booth, the sweetest server in the world. I wouldn't bring children here because like I said, it is more of a romantic, lovers-type, environment. Be prepared to fork out some dough but you'll surely enjoy your experience.

I just moved to Pensacola 2 months ago. Eaten here 2 or 3 times so far. Always a winner! I had a double burger, wasn't even on the menu, and I've got to say my first words were "Oh my!" Hands down the best burger I've tasted in a long Long LONG time. ...

Well we had hyped up our trip to the Melting Pot all week of our vacation and were really excited. We had expected to pay a lot of money already since we had heard the experience was good... expensive, but good and worth it. First course was really good, love the sam adams cheddar. Dessert was really good, disarronno white chocolate.. awesome. the part we didnt know about was that we had to cook our own food (??) What they do is provide you with some kind of broth w/ or w/o spices or wines depending on your preference. Then they bring you a plateful of food that you've agreed to pay a hundred bucks for that you boil in this broth yourself...?? what? what am i paying them 100 bucks for if i gotta cook it myself, and not only cook, but boil in broth?? not cool... we had 4 kids with us and it was a total 3 hour nightmare. i would go there again but only for the appetizers and dessert. boiled filet mignon sucks. it tastes like pot roast.

We enjoy spending our anniversary at the Melting Pot since the atmosphere was romantic and very relaxing. The food is always excellent. The waitress we had went out of her way to do anything she could to make our visit extra special. The manager even went out of his way to make our anniversary very rememberable. All of this service we got was excellent! We will definitely come back again. It is well worth the price you pay for the four course fondue dinner and dessert.

The server forgot several requests, our bill was totaled incorrectly and then my account was charged twice with two conflicting amounts and both amounts were different from the amount on my bill which I signed. I tend to get a bit edgy when dealing with my money so I would warn my friends and co-workers of these mistakes.

A truely wonderful restaurant! Our favorite part was the salad, dessert, and cheese fondue! A bit pricey, but you won't regret going here!

This is a wonderful place to go for an up scale meal. Be prepared to shell out around 45.00 a person, but it is well worth it.

Very romantic fondue restaurant with low-key ambiance. Extensive wine list. Get the vegetable bullion instead of oil.
