About The Blue Dolphin Restaurant
Founder, Konstadino "Gus" Tsilionis, was a chef in the top hotels in Greece before owning his own tavern in Athens. In 1969, with the help of his brother James, Gus immigrated to America to leave the tumultuous Greek government and seek a new life for his family. With his culinary accomplishments he quickly found work. Soon after he sent for his wife, Mary, and their nine year old son, Tom. After school at the age of 13, Tom started working in the family owned diner in New Jersey. In 1987, the family moved to Florida and opened the Blue Dolphin Restaurant.
A neighborhood favorite, it soon started becoming the place to go for all occasions. A simple dinner, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and many other celebrations are common here at the Blue Dolphin.
The Tsilionis family still owns and operates the restaurant and the staff is considered family. Tom has assumed the majority of the operations, Gus and Mary are still at the restaurant everyday.
