Chicago Restaurant Guide

Two words come to mind when the hole-in-the-wall establishment Taqueria & Restaurant is mentioned: 1) Authentic. 2) Cheap. If you're looking for some REAL Mexican food, Taqueria & Restaurant will not disappoint. The FREE chips and salsa are always warm, fresh and delicious and the $1 tacos they sell gives you more bang for your buck than your local Taco Bell. This is the type of place that you could eat at 3 out of 5 days a week and never get tired of. It's clear that whomever is in the back cooking is either from Mexico or they got their culinary skills in Mexico, there's just no other way that they would be able to create such delicious food. The only downside is that they're lacking any type of alcohol, but the food will fill you up so much that there wouldn't be any room left for a margarita anyway. If you're a fan of spicy foods, burritos, menudo, tacos, chimichangas, soups, nacho, or any other Mexican cuisine, you have to try Taqueria & Restaurant. You won't regret it.
