Welcome to Shaba Shabu. Owner and Chef Charles Metee welcomes you to experience his unique concept in dining. Shaba is the Thai word for hibiscus, the tropical flower. Shabu in Japanese translates to swish, which refers to the creative way of preparing raw beef and seafood at the table. We incorporate authentic Thai and Japanese cuisine served in an urban, contemporary setting. Enjoy a meal in our spacious dining room or one of our specialty cocktails at our bar.

We specialize in delicious Thai cuisine and sushi, including our house specialties that are sure to please. This is my wife's and my favorite sushi spot in the Triangle. We will only go to another sushi restaurant if we are out of town. They know us by name, give us great service, and, most importantly, the sushi is fresh and 1/2 off. LOVE AKASHI!
