SALSA, Taqueria and Tequila Bar is a casual and exciting Mexican dining concept featuring an authentic menu of delectable tacos, tamales, tostados and rellenos made with savory fire-roasted meats, grilled vegetables and the freshest seafood. Hand-made tortillas, refreshing salsas and fresh juice cocktails provide guests with an unforgettable "true taste of Mexico". A bustling exhibition kitchen adds to the excitement of the bold colors and lively Merengue, Salsa and Tejano music. The Tequila Bar features over 50 Mexican tequilas and mescals perfect for sipping or mixing with fresh juices for a Star Margarita with lime, mango, passion fruit, cactus or watermelon.
This is the first review of anything that I have ever written. First of all, margarita (yes, it was happy hour so I did not expect a super good drink) was like watered down lemonade-I do not think it contained much if any liquor.
Most Mexican restaurants offer complimentary chips and salsa-here you had to pay.
I ordered the Mexican enchiladas with chicken-they come with beans and rice. The beans were from a can and were barely lukewarm, the rice was stone-cold, the 3 enchiladas were the smallest I have ever seen and had virtually nothing inside. I looked for our waiter to complain about the temperature of my food-he had disappeared and never came to check on us. After about 10 minutes of waiting, I asked the hostess to find him. He took my meal back to warm it-when it came back, the rice still was not hot and the enchiladas were now even more dried up and now hard to chew. This meal(?)was 12.99 way overpriced for the small quantity and the horrible food. I will never go there again and would caution others about the bad food.

I was very impressed by this restaurant. After being disappointed in too many Ruby Tuesday-type places. I was shocked to find this level of quality and ambience in the Florida Mall. This is no ordinary Mexican restaurant. Dishes like Barbacoa pork and carne asada nortena set them apart from the usual Americanized-fare while even the seemingly typical staples such as quesadillas and chile relleno are given a chef's touch. When you go, just make sure you save room for the cinnamon-battered bananas. I have been trying to recreate them in my own kitchen ever since.

Awesome food and margaritas. Guacamole was great. Seven of us ate and every meals was awesome. Our bill very reasonable and the art deco bathrooms are a must see. Service was super - ask for Omar!

This restaurant has by far the best Mexican food I've ever eaten, my wife ordered the Enchiladas with an authentic pablano pepper sauce and I had the Barbacoa de Puerco that was unbelieveably tender with a sauce that was prefectly balanced between sweet and spicy. Orlando has a great restauant scene , but I have to put this on the top of the list.
