The big buy that works there is a good cook and he is really cool and he is good looking and he dosn't smell like queso.
DG'S Deli is an awesome place to go eat. The subs are delicious and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The big guy that owns this place very friendly and inviting. Nice place to go relax and eat after a hard day at school.
Great food, salsa is exellent (not too hot, a lot of flavor)
This place serves truly authentic New Mexican cuisine! Fresh, delicious and absolutely what it is supposed to be. No catering to the Taco Bell crowd here. Platters are ideal; salsa platonic. We never miss this place when in NM and hope it thrives for years to come!
Great tasting food for the money. If you go during rush hour, expect to wait. Once you're seated, the staff are friendly. Not a fancy restaurant (go to Si Senor if you are looking for atmosphere), but I go to El Sombrero for the taste of the food - the best I've tried in town, though there are still...
By far the best buritoe I've had in my life. Chile Relleno would be my recomendation. I am trying to figure out how to get a dozen shipped to my house in MI.
Had a blast at the South Main location. The food, service and fun was a great vaule. Pizza is delicious and the appetizers are scrumptious.
very autentic affordable and fun environment.
While not authentic Mexican it is authentic New Mexican. I will continue to travel from my Maine home to New Mexico specifically for food like this!
Only downside, they seated us near the kitchen and the break area.
I read the other reviews, and someone said this was NEW MEXICAN food, when it's BORDER food. New Mexican food is the blue corn, not spicy food in Northen New Mexico. If you're going to gripe, please do it right.
Now, for BORDER food, this place is not bad. I enjoy the food here, and find it fast,...
I love this restaurant and stop there whenever I'm in Las Cruces.
Si Senor is a restaurant serving "New Mexican" cuisine...despite what one reviwer said. Lots of Mesilla Valley chile to go around. The people up north (ie, Albuquerque and Santa Fe think they alone are the ones who determine such things around these parts...sorry, but you are wrong! You are not the ...
One of the friendliest places to eat. You always hear laughter and see smiles.
Many get greeted with hugs from the big bear like manager (the little old ladies love it) and the guys get a pat on the back. He doesn't leave the kids out either - they get a "Hi!" or a "Hey!" sometimes with a high five...
A favorite breakfast spot for locals. I love the MVK spuds with green chile. Very popular on weekends when breakfast is served all day long. Breakfast and lunch only.
The food is great! Service is more of a psuedo cafeteria style but I imagine it keeps the costs down!
Ambiance is the same as a "locals" resturant. Not designed or intended to be a tourist attaction. You go here for GREAT food at a good price.
The red enchiladas are awesome and their rice. I love this place and eat there everytime I come home. If you want awesome mexican food, this is the place to come!!
The Spanish Kitchen offers THE finest example of authentic and traditional Mesilla/Hatch valley red chile enchiladas in Las Cruces. Others are good...this is the best. The pre-dinner salsa, tacos and warm bread also make this a do not miss dining experience. The ambience is lacking, but locals coul...
I've been going to the Spanish Kitchen since I was a kid. I'm >40 years old now and to this day will make it a point to visit the Spanish Kitchen. A trip to Las Cruces and not eating at the Spanish Kitchen is like a day without sunshine. Great food! haven't found any better.
I am from LC. We now live in Texas and my husband has become a Spanish Kitchen freak. We are addicted to the salsa and red and green enchilada plates. Every time we are in town we go to Spanish Kitchen and eat. Yummy!
