Nice food and great tasting. I have been going here for years. I remember the original location. The service is the only draw back. One person takes your order. Another brings it and has know idea who wanted what and if there is something wrong or you need something else you cannot find any one to help you.

Great tasting food for the money. If you go during rush hour, expect to wait. Once you're seated, the staff are friendly. Not a fancy restaurant (go to Si Senor if you are looking for atmosphere), but I go to El Sombrero for the taste of the food - the best I've tried in town, though there are still a lot to try...

This place serves truly authentic New Mexican cuisine! Fresh, delicious and absolutely what it is supposed to be. No catering to the Taco Bell crowd here. Platters are ideal; salsa platonic. We never miss this place when in NM and hope it thrives for years to come!

It was awful!!! we placed a to go order, by the time we drove 20 minutes back home we realized it was completely wrong and when I called the manager she said it was not her problem and there was nothing she would do and even said if there was something we didnt like then we should just scrape it off! We had gone to the restaurant for the first time a couple weeks earlier and the waiter never refilled our drinks and we waited 45 minutes for our check....I had to get up as if I was leaving so she would notice and maybe do her job!!!

El Sombrero is a middle of the road New Mexican cuisine restaurant. Service and abiance is friendly and acceptable. The covered outdoor patio is the best place to eat...nothing fancy but better than inside. It can get busy. Parking lot is small and crowded.
Food is New-Mex. Green chile enchiladas the restaurant's specialty. Most dishes are ok...good to those unfamiliar with New Mexican cuisine, but just so-so to afficianados. A decent enough place to eat, but you do not go out of your way to eat here when there are so many others just as good or better.

In thirty-two years, I have never had worse Mexican food, especially for the high price. Even the beverages were bad. The complimentary chips and what was called salsa were horrible, too. We had no service once the foo

Being a 3 gen. native New Mexican this is not really New Mexican, though northern and southern New Mexican is different. There are many better places to eat in Las Cruces.

The best folded tacos anywhere. I have been a regular for 40+ years and is our usual Sat. lunch. My boys usually eat 8 tacos each and I am down to 4-6 (could eat more). Must try.

This is my favorite resturant in the known universe! You wont fear death once you've had the green chile enchalada plate with a Dos XX, because you know what hevan is like.

Andele is a little, non-pretentious, restaurant in Old Mesilla. It has a fairly extensive menu of New Mexican and Mexican dishes. The quality of the food is continually excellent. They do serve pasole and on weekends men
