Concord Family Diner is my absolute favorite place for breakfast! The food is homemade and freshly prepared, portions are HUGE and the service is excellent. The interior has been redone in a 50's style diner...great food, great atmosphere and great service. This place is just that: great!

The food is actually very good for a takeout Chinese place; however, the staff is fairly unfriendly. As this is a takeout only restaurant, there's not much in the way of ambience. Waiting on your order is not overly pleasant as the only seating is a hard bench. Fortunately, the wait is not long!
I've only tried the fried flounder at the Stowe-A-Way and it was fairly good. Nothing extraordinarily good nor bad. Like another reviewer, I did notice that the parking lot was completely empty on a Friday evening and that's unusual for any restaurant (good or bad)in Concord.

While Sonny's food is overall pretty good, it is not the good old fashioned Eastern NC barbecue that's popular in this area. Definitely not my choice when I want barbecue. Has a real chain restaurant feel to it but it's super clean and has a cheerful ambience. Service is good, value is so-so.

Well I have heard so much about this restaurant from my step-daughter, I will be trying it on the 20th December 2008. We will be visiting NC. I am from Trinidad so I am very excited, so I will rate later on.
I've lived in Concord all my 52 years. This is the place where all the locals eat. You know what they say about good food...."Go where the locals go if you want the best food in town!" Our experience was fantastic. It is not the expensive "Saturday night Out-to-dinner" but the food is fantastic....
