The Food is great!!!
The diner is open now in 2011 and the food and every thing is really great. We drive by there on our way into town periodically and there's always a crowd. You can't beat this place.
Worst restaurant experience in years. Slow service. Inexperienced waitstaff. Overpriced, overcooked. In general rude managers, rude staff, poorly mixed drinks, expensive low quality preparation. Will never go back. Worst restaurant in town!!!!
Great place. Super atmosphere not "barry" at all. Rented a room to have a birthday party and it was wonderful and inexpensive. Nice nice place
We eat there all the time and love it. The food is wonderful and the staff is friendly. Cool place with lots of great photos of the area from a historic point of view. We can;t wait till the outdoor courtyard is open again.
Good home cooking from scratch. Fabulous place for breakfast. Lots of locals. Sometimes you have to wait for a table, it's so popular.
Not very enjoyable. The food is just terrible, no creativity or originality, and the appearance and service of the restaurant follows suit.
For take out, this place is awesome. Not much for an actual restaurant but it is authentic and tasty.
The building itself is a little run down, but the Chinese food is, in my opinion, the best in Columbia (and I've tried every Chinese place in town). Very tasty, and they will modify the dishes however you want. Great for take out!!
WORST RESTAURANT EVER!!!!! Food took an hour and fourty five minutes, was cold and terrible, and then unauthorized charges were made to my credit card by china star after i gave them the number. Should be avoided at all costs.
They took over an hour to deliver my food and then forgot the sweet and sour sauce and then expected me to eat sweet and sour chicken without sweet and sour sauce. Never going there again.
Their delivery is fast most of the time. I live west of town, they never take over 30 minutes to deliver. Most of the time they deliver in 15 minutes.
Note: about the person who said they delivered late and overcharged their card on his/her account.. the ownership has changed in the past year. They chinese family that owns China Star now is really great.
I like eating there.. the price is good for chinese food if you go at lunch it's even cheaper...
Fun atmostphere - great food and great brewed beer. Most enjoyable in the summer when you can sit out on the patio.
Fun restaurant with great atmosphere. Perfect place to hit before or after a big game. Large selection of in-house brewed beers which taste delicious. Expansive menu has something for everyone.
I eat at G & D when I can even though it is a 10 mile trip across town. They have been here a long time and have established regular customers. I have not tried their pizza for awhile, but heard pretty good. Make pizza from scratch so may take longer. I go there for the steaks, which are cooked ...
The Heldelberg is the perfect college town bar/grill. They have a wide variety of menu items and the specials, like buy on eget on apps, are great. I love the Berg and spent the majority of my undergrad student loan money there.
