Family met there for dinner recently. It was hot and stuffy inside and the quality of the food was below par. Steak was dry. Limited selection of beers. Bathroom was dirty. Service was excellent and cheerful.

My family and I dined there just recently and I would not recommend this restaurant for dinner. The kid prices where too much for what they got. Can I say, Kraft Mac n Cheese???? Tasted old. My 4 year old didn't even like it. On to the adults...French Dip was overdone and dry and the steak frie...

Achatz of St. Clair has opened a restaurant in the downtown plaza. It has the middle of the road but tasty fare, friendly relaxed atmosphere and is a welcome addition.

We had breakfast there...eggs and corned beef hash. The hash was straight from a can and not prepared as well as I can do at home. Not good.
Your typical small town restaurant...where everyone seems to know everyone else. My pork dinner was excellent. The wife's turkey and dressing, though...bland and just warm when she got it. (had she told me, I'd've sent it back!) Huge amounts...enough for tonight and tomorrow... and at a very fair...
I had the meatloaf and the wife had the stuffed cabbage. Good food, reasonable price, and a fairly attentive waitress. What more can be asked, eh?

They do have great perch...not their forte but really good all the same. Great service...can't ask for much better, anywhere.

First mistake...in a Coney Island, order a Coney, right? Instead, I ordered fish and chips...it was a Friday, after all. Bad mistake...they were nicely battered but had been left in the hot oil too long...we found pools of grease under the overdone fish. I won't go there again for dinner. For a cone...

Ignore the ratings...they have the BEST coffee in the area...bar none. We've drunk coffee all over this US and the coffee here....what can I say!! The BEST!!!

I had the pan fried perch...and it was excellent. The service was the same...the girl was just as helpful as could be but not "at your elbow" all the time, either. A must try.
As a senior...the place is great. MacDonalds doesn't advertise their senior coffee..at $.35 I can understand why. There's always a group of seniors in there in the morning....it's called MacLodge....if you're a Mason, you'll understand.
Located on the edge of town, Achatz's is the typical small town family restaurant. The food is good and usually comes in great quantities. Try the cheesy potatoes and eggs for breakfast..not on the diet, but....

Located on the St. Clair River, one can watch the boat traffic while dining. The food is good and well worth the money.
This restaurant is/was part of the Joe Muir "chain". The food is excellent...some of the best you'll find in this part of the state. The amience is heightened by the traffic on the St. Clair River...lake boats and "salties" passing by right in front of your table.

Southwestern dining with a good menu selection. Its location on the Pine River is certainly an attraction and adds to the dining experience. Some of the best TexMex cooking in the area.
