Located on the edge of town, Achatz's is the typical small town family restaurant. The food is good and usually comes in great quantities. Try the cheesy potatoes and eggs for breakfast..not on the diet, but....
I had the meatloaf and the wife had the stuffed cabbage. Good food, reasonable price, and a fairly attentive waitress. What more can be asked, eh?
Your typical small town restaurant...where everyone seems to know everyone else. My pork dinner was excellent. The wife's turkey and dressing, though...bland and just warm when she got it. (had she told me, I'd've sent it back!) Huge amounts...enough for tonight and tomorrow... and at a very fair...
Achatz of St. Clair has opened a restaurant in the downtown plaza. It has the middle of the road but tasty fare, friendly relaxed atmosphere and is a welcome addition.
This is a wonderful restuarant! The food is great, and the service is excellent. I am so happy we have such a wonderful place to dine in town. My advice-try it you will not regret it!

Ignore the ratings...they have the BEST coffee in the area...bar none. We've drunk coffee all over this US and the coffee here....what can I say!! The BEST!!!

We had breakfast there...eggs and corned beef hash. The hash was straight from a can and not prepared as well as I can do at home. Not good.

First mistake...in a Coney Island, order a Coney, right? Instead, I ordered fish and chips...it was a Friday, after all. Bad mistake...they were nicely battered but had been left in the hot oil too long...we found pools of grease under the overdone fish. I won't go there again for dinner. For a cone...
As a senior...the place is great. MacDonalds doesn't advertise their senior coffee..at $.35 I can understand why. There's always a group of seniors in there in the morning....it's called MacLodge....if you're a Mason, you'll understand.

I'm from Cleveland and hit Pepper Joe's once every summer when we're vacationing on the lake in Port Huron. It's OK, nothing special, but it's a fun place to go and eat outside on the river. I just wish Michigan were non-smoking so I could enjoy the atmosphere more. If Ohio and Cleveland can me n...

A group of me and my friends went to pepper joes a little while back for dinner, the restaurant was empty so then we figured the food would be good and fast... not the case. The ribs were a pathetic portion and they were cold. Famous baby back rib? I think not, they should be sued for putting that o...

A great little place on the Pine River to check out if you want your food messed up and get ripped off! Don't forget about the lazy staff that sit around and play trivia. This place is NOT a must try.

I have dined here many of times for lunch and dinner with the proximity being close to work. Not only do they mess up orders frequently, give little portions for the money, but, the service is pretty bad. The only positive is they are on the river and have a good view. The lunch menu is horrible,...

Where do I start? This place was horrible! Service was very slow and rude even from the manager. Food was awful for the price and tasted like it came straight from the freezer! Bathrooms smelled bad and the whole place needs a new paint job! Color choice is awful! YUCK! Will never return with my fam...

If you like 5th graders waiting on you, food that tastes bland as air (and that's if they aren't out if it) at prices that are insane, then this is the place for you. Should be called Empty Joes. Go to Golden Corral for a better meal. Yeah, it's on the river, but who cares when you're eating bad foo...

Had bad experiences here before, but heard about a new menu and had to check it out. Well, nothing has changed. Horrible service, food and ridiculous sized tvs. If you wanna get ripped off and have your food cooked bad for lunch then check this place out.

My family and I dined there just recently and I would not recommend this restaurant for dinner. The kid prices where too much for what they got. Can I say, Kraft Mac n Cheese???? Tasted old. My 4 year old didn't even like it. On to the adults...French Dip was overdone and dry and the steak frie...

Family met there for dinner recently. It was hot and stuffy inside and the quality of the food was below par. Steak was dry. Limited selection of beers. Bathroom was dirty. Service was excellent and cheerful.

Ordered pan fried perch....very greasy. Oleo with baked potato. Shame on them. First we were told it was butter. No way !!! Then admitted it was OLEO. Baked potato was perfectly baked and salad was good. Early Bird prices a +. I'll be back, hopefully to some changes.

Had lunch there for the second time. Reuben sandwich very sloppy and very small side portions. But, overall, not bad for the money.
