It's a great restaurant and it was on my top list for some time. I soon found Marko's Cozy Diner and experienced a even better Fish n Chips, one loike I've never tasted before!
Whoever said this is the worst fish and chips ever must have been dropped a couple times as a child. Seriously though, BEST IN METRO DETROIT. Bet and Jessies don't forget it!!!

I have been going here since the early 70's. Still the top spot on my list for fish and chips.
Consistently the best fish and chips around. This restaurant has been in business for years and has always served quality, tasty food. Friendly service and fair prices. They also have great rolls, cole slaw and tarter sauce!

Is this the same venue that used to be on Grand River in the 70's? We used to drive from Lansing to get some Bet & Jessies!
Outstanding fish tacos -- sauteed fish instead of deep fried... YUM!! Fajitas were great, and the "cheesecake burrito" dessert was surprisingly good.
Had a hard time getting the waiter's attention to order dessert (probably because we were sitting around for over an hour talking after dinner), but...

Whoever rated this with one star is crazy. I have been eating fish here fo a long time. I know my fish. This is the best fish around for the price.
This place has very bad fish.
Worst fish and chips ever. Seriously.
I have eaten here several times and have never had a bad experience. The food is good and the service has always been friendly. This is not the place to go for a fine dinning experience, but if your looking for good family/bar food it is a fine place to eat.
this so called restaurant was disgustin, the food tasted like left overs, the staff was rude and almost all of their staff used foul language, the drinks were way to strong. The current owners Wai and Shelly are very friendly people.
The prices are very reasonable, I have eaten thier food many times in tghe past.
It is mostly a carryout resturant.
I have ordered pizzas from this local Howies for about 20 years. Their quality has always been consistent and delivery times reliable.
I have breakfast there every saturday. Also, love the dinner specials, especially the spegetti and Chicken Marcella (which is new).
