I am very Impressed with this restuarant. The food is full of awesome flavors the garlic flavor they add to the crab legs the corn and egg is amazing. This Saturday was my first time at the restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was great and the customer service was superb! I highly recommend the smothered catfish! I'm spreading the word! As the kids say, the food was "Slap Yo Momma" good!

The barbecued short ribs were cooked to perfection, falling off of the bone, possibly the best my palate has ever enjoyed. The macaroni was full of cheese and with considerable quality. The collard greens are excellent.

This food is REALLY good. They have the best jerk chicken ever! Trust me. I'm moving away from Detroit soon and this is one of the restaurants i will miss the most. Deffinately will be coming to eat there when I come back to visit. The staff is very friendly.

The previous reviews are from 2004 and I hope those diners go back because Uptown BBQ has changed dramatically since. The prices are a little high but, overall the BBQ is good. And the service is better than in the past.
