The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I will be coming back for future lunches.
Food was great!!!! Especially smothered porkchops and barbeque neckbones and the mac and cheese was delicious. Johnson's keep up the good work
I work in Downtown Detroit, and used to have lunch at Maverick's prior to its brief closure. At that time the food was good and the service matched. Since it's reopened the menu choices are all still excellent but the service is terrible. I've eaten there 3 times since the reopening, hoping that it ...
This is the best soul food resturant in detroit. Now I have been to quite a few in my time but their food is truly like homemade. I usually get the smothered chicken with yams and macoroni and cheese. Their yams are the number one best. Truly test better than the ones made at home.
This restaurant is a very nice place eat
the food there is mouth watering!
My husband works in Charlottesville and always takes people to Maverick's for business lunches. He has never been disappointed. He especially likes their Kansas City Steak Soup. We've been there for dinner as well and enjoyed it a lot.
Maverick's seemed like it would be a good time, but it proved otherwise! The service took forever! Ask for anything, and you won't be getting it for another 5 minutes at least. Picked up a pizza with a friend who knows the place, and I was very impressed with the taste and the quality. Later on, we had some stuff delivered to work; I got a burger, and it was pretty definitey the best I've had so far in this area. I'll definitely be going back!

Top notch cuisine and service. Opus is the best Detroit has to offer. A bit expensive, but as with everything else, you get what you pay for.
I REALLY ENJOYED THE ATMOSPHERE FOR LUNCH. VERY CLEAN, NICE PEOPLE, NO LOUD MUSIC.
I love Vicky's Ribs. I drive from the far eastside of Detroit for a slab of these ribs. Deep south style ribs. The sauce is great! In a "very" urban setting.
