this place is good only for tourists coming of I-10 from a long trip. One of my worst experiences in NOLA area (I have been living in NOLA since 1995)
Best and most authentic Italian food anywhere. Very friendly, family owned restaurant located on the corner of Williams Blvd. and Veterans. The Brick Oven Cafe makes their exceptional specialty pizzas in a real wood burning fire oven. Consistently consumer reviewed as the number one Filet dishes any...
I have eaten at the Brick Oven several times in the last year. They have got the best Italian food in New Orleans. They also have then best steaks in the city. They beat Ruths Chris hands down. The service is great, too. They bring out freshly baked bread before your order arrives. If your not caref...
Not much for ambience, and the wait staff is incompetent. We were seated by the front door and actually saw our waiter open the front door and spit. It was disgusting to see something like that before dining.
A very casual family, home cooking type dining experience. Good food for the whole family. Great po boys.
The food is really amazing. I hers a barking in the backgroung when i was ordering my food.. I think a food inspector should drop a visit soon
The best Mexican food in Louisiana. Try the shrimp,DELICIOUS!!! I can't say enough about this great place. Perfect stop on the way to the airport.
Had just flown into NOLA and needed to sample some local flavor. I had the fried alligator and loved it. Not a kids place as the restaurant is surrounding a bar. Looks more like a locals place rather than a tourist stop, but was neat to sample some unique foods.
We first ate at Fisherman's Cove in 2000 and have been back only one time. But! I have ordered from them at least two times a year for my annual Pardi Gras parties and our family boil.
A Pardi isn't a party without their Crawfish! Have them ship it boiled, all you need to do is re-heat the Crawfis...
I grew up in Metairie and miss fong's maderine chicken........I've had many great foods in my life, but this, this is to die for. Trust me and eat some for me. IF YOU GO THROUGH LIFE WITHOUT HAVING TRIED THIS MANERINE CHICKEN, YOU DID NOT LIVE.

March 16-2008 We just got back from Fong's for our favorite "Hot and Sour Soup", "Fong's triple treat" and Mandarin Chicken. Of course with house fried rice- not the steamed rice.
Sunday evening- the place is almost deserted as people have finished with the St. Patrick's day parade and are into t...
This has to be the best Chinese food in New Orleans. i love their mandarin chicken. Been going there since i was 4 now i am going on 23.
We have been eating at Fong's since it opened in the 70's. It is your excellent, neighborhood dining experience that we expect from New Orleans.
We ate there almost every day for 10years. Their triple treat, manderin chicken, and "hot and sour" soup are on our list every time we are back in New O...
this place was awesome and i have gone back at least twice a week already
What this restaurant lacks in cleanliness totally makes up for in quality and taste. Ms. Mae is so friendly and sincere. You feel like family. The food is very good and fresh. I have been eating there for several years and have never had a bad meal.
Best chinese food in this area. Ms. Mae (Mama Fong) has taught many of the other cooks in the area. Mae, Lily, William, and Judy are wonderful people. The egg rolls are the best in the country. A great family restaurant.
My dad makes extra trips back home to Kenner just to have mandarin chicken (extra rice and gravy). It's his favorite and he craves it every day! Thank you Fongs for making your restaurant the only chinese restaurant he enjoys dining in. May you stay open for many years to come!
went for Friday(11-6-09)lunch & had the fish with rice & black beans. all was great for $10. is very small with-best i can tell-2 people running the place. NOTE: garces no longer exists. the place at 3809 Williams is Rincon Hispano Restaurant. has traditional Cuban & Colombian foods. only the Paella...
EXPECTED NEW ORLEANS style FOOD OR AT LEASE LOUISIANA style FOOD ,NOT NORTHEN.
THE SEAFOOD WAS VERY GOOD AND SO WAS THE SERVICE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AS GOOD FOOD AT A GREAT PRICE.
