Better Tex-Mex food than I've had in some places in Houston, TX. Good Mexican draft beer to go with the meal, too.
We have eaten Mexican/Tex-Mex from here to Alpine, TX...and this is one of the better that we've dined in. Good food, a friendly, courteous waitress (try to find that combination lately) and all this right after the Indy 500, no less.

I live in the suburbs of Chicago and frequent Charlies to shoot pool as often as possible, and every single time the food is fresh and the portions are huge!! The wait staff are friendly and always right there to check and make sure all is well!!! I love this place!!! I GIVE IT 5 STARS!!

My job requires that I travel alot, so I have had the opprotunity to dine at many independent steak houses and restaurants. Stables offers a unique dining experience with fantastic food, not to mention the large diversity of top shelf liquors behind the bar. In my opinion Stables is second to none.

Dinners we're overpriced and not very tasty.
Visited on a Sunday. .69 cent Cheesburgers on special. Ordered two with just cheese,lettuce, mayo. Was Charged 2.73- . They stated that special Orders were regular price.......that is not Far. Plus Lousy Service!
