They placed false advertisment in the Mailmart Shopper that circulated on 10/03/06. They advertised 4 large 2 toppings pizza's for $7.99 and wouldn't honor it. They need to learn to keep their customers happy by living up their word, even if it was their mistake. I'm sure someone had to approve ...
Overall this was a good experience except that for a brew pup the beer was terrible. I was very disappointed with the overall experience after trying their labels.

This is probably my favorite brew pub in Greater Des Moines. The staff is great, the food is excellent, and you can't beat the location. It's a bi-level restaurant and offers numerous pool tables, two bars, and great ambience.
This is a great place to dine Downtown. Great atmosphere...and great food. I've never had bad service here (I've been going here for years).

Wow. That word sums up the food at the Mandarin. I like to try various Chinese restaurants everywhere I go, and I have never experienced food as delicious as here. Simple sandwiches, but oh so good!
Pizza wasn't as good as expected - it also had a topping requested to be left off. Sandwich wasn't that good either. Kids weren't impressed, not a lot for them to do, they got bored easily. Very nice for the money. I was impressed. Seated quickly, orders were perfect, food was great. Enough for kids to see as well. Food is priced very nicely for the proportion size = PERFECT!
A little overrated. They recently raised prices quite a bit and their food didn't improve w/ increase. Pizza a little greasy. Not real kid friendly - not a lot for them to see/do. Sandwiches were ok, but nothing to brag about. Not my favorite southside spot! Recommend others first.

We have just added Iowa Beef Steak House to our company's "don't miss it" list. Very high value for the money. Limited menu (steaks, chops, and chicken).
