Everything I ordered at 12pm was served cold. How can you serve macaroni & cheese cold an hour after you open- not even warm? This is the original Sonny's & it needs some work in the kitchen. On the sliced pork lunch ($6.49), the pork was nice- moist, fatty, but cold to match the cold fries & cornbr...
The Gainesville store on Waldo Road is the original but no longer owned by the Tillman family. We have eaten there since opened and it is a great value with great food and service.
Owner Ben Ma has outdone himself. This restaurant is a hidden gem. We have eaten there many time. We have finally given in and just ask our server to have Mr. Ma make us something. We are never disappointed. When you see a majority of the clientele are Asian, you know you have found the winner.
The food was incredibly amazing and the price i pretty average! Nice ambience and a very wide selection of authentic food.
I always loved the Copper Monkey. They always had the best sandwiches in town. Best Fries too. The waitresses were attentive and it was my 1st choice always for a sandwich always. (at least once a month) However the food has taken a turn for the worse. The fries are those skinny little things which,...
The food was okay, but the service was horrible. The waitress was inattentive and she literally slammed our change and to go boxes because she thought her tip wasn't large enough.
Two friends and I had a St. Patty's Day dinner here and were quite satisfied. I had the corned beef and cabbage special. One of my friends had a burger with french fries and the other had a dinner salad. We also ordered a basket of tortilla chips which came with a generous portion of salsa. A pitche...

This was actually a really good spot to bring my family. They have a fun, friendly atmosphere and the food is very good. We've been going on all-you-can-eat Sushi night on Wednesdays, and they have live entertainment. I don't think many people know about it though, but that seems to be changing.
The pad thai had moldy sprouts in it. when the cook was informed she became hostile and slammed the dish on the table and yelled at our party. Completely horrible experience.
This place is ridiculous. Take note we went on a week night. You walk in and see this giant hand written note about how on weekends the wait can be up to 2 hrs. We thought no worries it's a week night. It took the hostess/waitress 10min to come out to seat us. She was rude the whole time with a frow...
This is a good Thai place near my house. The food here is really good. I don't reccomend the Pad Thai if you are accustomed to american version of this dish (with syrupy peanut sauce) Their version is more like the Pad Thai you would find in Thailand. The best thing about Tim's is that you can h...
This is one of Gainesville's oldest restaurants for a reason - terrific meals at a reasonable price. We have eaten at this restaurant for over 20 years and keep coming back for more. It's kind of a local secret and lots of people order take out. No liquor license but no problem, stores are within a...
Yamato's was packed on a Friday night and we had to wait for almost an hour just to be seated. Boy was it worth it though! The food was delicious especially the spicy tuna rolls. My mouth is watering even as I write this. Also you wouldn't expect the steaks to be good at a Japanese restaurant but...
