Admitedly, it is kind of a hole in the wall but the food is great. Try the beef cutlet grinder for something different--highly recomended.
I really enjoyed the food in this place. I'll go back and definitely check it out.I really enjoyed there beef cutlet here.
waitstaff is a little out of it at times but the food is great and at resonable prices. They also have a great full bar that you should take advantage of. Best dish: Chicken Cardinale - TO DIE FOR!!!
Have gone a few times...pastries are spectacular...almond croissants are to die for..best in ct as good or better than ny....seems as though they went through a transition with their bread but the last time i bought a pumpernickel and rye and they were great...wish they had a bakery in west hartford...
I have visited McGregors on many an occassion and I find the food to be very good and quite filling. Being from Hartford I can honestly say that this is one of the best places I have visited. I think they should consider expanding the restaurant so that many more people can come and enjoy one of th...

Max Downtown is an excellent restaurant featuring French Cuisine. Perfect for business lunches and dinners. This restaurant features a cigar bar. Occasionally, they offer an all in one package dinner.

Service and Atmosphere are first rate! The food is standard Max restaurant fare, uninspired and overpriced.

You don't go to Paul's Wing It for the ambience. You go for the best wings in all of Connecticut ... maybe the best in New England. The wings are prepared with a unique, spicy sauce that you won't find anyplace else. Enjoy them with a basket of fries, carrots and celery, and a little blue cheese dre...

they make the best grinders, salads and Pasta
I used to go to this place back in the late 70s. If for no other reason, let's give empire a little credit for still exisitng. A lot of 'em don't, right? Something must be working for the place. I used to get a rockin' eggplant parmesean grinder here (do they still call it "grinder"?) go.
Expensive but worth it. I thought the food was delicious. It's definitely a special occasion place. We shared a lobster appetizer that was to die for. So was the dessert. Overall, great food.
Friendly Staff - Nice Presentation - Cozy Dining Pepercorn's Grille is hidden but worth the find for good fare.
I would say this is my favorite restaurant in the area. However, my parents would beg to differ. Every dish they have ordered they have been less than satisfied with. But, being a foodie, I have enjoyed my experience every time. Granted it is no Del Posto or Eleven Madison Park in NYC but the best i...

great small home style dinning , a great family restaurant.
Pretty good food for the money you pay. This was our first time eating Caribbean cuisine & must say we liked it. Especially the Goat curry & Jerk chicken.
No one ever picks up the phone at this restaurant
