I have to agree with the other review on this site. The service is the worst! We, however, stayed around for the food, which was OK but terribly overpriced.
I had the misfortune to eat (not dine) at the Maharani last night. My friends had booked the "Fantasy Room" for 7:00 PM on a Saturday. I had heard from a number of people that this use to be very good. We decided to try it. Bad idea. The place looks great with huge leather sofas, the service is nice...... but the food was horrible. The sauces unedible. One of the worst places I have eaten in SF and highly overpriced.
If I could give this place a 0 I would. The "house" wine was $9.50 a glass. It was early in the evening, the place was only 25% full and they had no beef. We orderd chicken and ended up paying $100.63. To boot, the ladies bathroom was filthy and dark.

Capps has very average Italian food. It seems to cater to the tourist crowd who do not know about the other great Italian restaurants in North Beach. I would not recomend eating at Capps. The staff was atrocious. The place was out of control and the only thing they were concerned about was people using their bathroom. Food horrible service horrible bathrooms dirty. This is the most over priced place I have ever been. It used to be run a lot better.

We were transport into Italy, with autentic Italian food and atmophere, nice portions and good price. We are looking for to go back and have that great Lasagna or Linguine Pescatore with a glass of Machiavelly Chianty.

This restaurant is prejudice against lonely diner. Apparently they only serve 2 diners or more. So ghetto. Atleast put a sign on your window saying you don't serve 1 customer so loners like me don't have to waste our precious time driving our lonely asses, park our lonely cars, and walk our lonel...

It was a favourite Friday date in the 70's for my now husband and me. Homestyle comfort. My husband's favourite was Yosenabe, I tried different dishes. We have fond memories of this little restaurant

Don't get fooled by the road house exterior. The Bonanza has a full bar and serves a great lunch. The seafood and burgers are very good, and Thursday is prime rib Thursday. Lunch is 11 to 3. Steve
