This well-positioned restaurant focuses on freshness by using California seasonal vegetables in their cuisine and fruits in the desserts. Enjoy comfort foods like the perennial favorite the onion-ringed stacked roasted chicken on a bed of smooth mashed potatoes or the soy-glazed halibut. Avoid the f...

Pros: A hopping, popular place, well appointed -warm inviting. Very good food. (Pork Chop is always excellent.)AMAZING bus staff who make up for sometimes slow wait staff. Good sized bar and selection, Good wine and desert selection (breadpudding, tiramisu, choc.cake are too good to be true). Cons: ...
Our favorite restaurant in San Francisco. Beautiful views of Fisherman's Wharf and the Bay. Quiet, elegant with superb service. The seafood is fresh and plate presentations are pretty as a picture. Varied menu is sure to please any palate.

I had heard that this was the number one Italian restaurant in the city. I have since corrected those who misinformed me. The service of the entire staff that we encountered, from hostess to floor manager, was so bad that we did not stick around for the food. I had never before experienced such a...

I have to agree with the other review on this site. The service is the worst! We, however, stayed around for the food, which was OK but terribly overpriced.

The food is fantastic here. I had fish stuffed with onions and pine nuts and covered in a tamarind-garlic-ginger sauce then again topped with the cruchiest fried onions. And then on top of that there was a mound full of roasted pine nuts. The entertainment was out of this world. Both Noora and S...

Words can not begin to describe how fond I am of Al Masri restaurant! Ever since my husband introduced me to Al Masri on Valentine's Day in 2003, it has been my favorite restaurant in the world, period. We now go to Al Masri for all our anniversaries and every Valentine's day; we bring our friends a...

This is by far one of the best Italian restaurants in North America. Reasonably priced and a true Italian experience.

My girlfriend and I have been to Allegro Romano twice. Both times have been extraordinary experiences. Lorenzo, the host, treated us like we were long-lost friends. The food was top notch, as was the professional and friendly service. Our meal started with a free serving of Bruschetta, and ended w...
The waitress describe a meal incorrectly. I ended up with a bland grilled fish with red butter slop.

We had eaten here before and it was a very good experience. This time the owner was there and she for some reason did not like the way we looked. She would not let us sit where we wanted to (we had reservations) and looked dissapointed when we said we did. She was quite rude. The waiters notcied too...

Over all a great place, David the bartender is great, he served us sake martinis--very good choice. Sushi is good, steaks are great, crab martini-creative and tasty

We eat in this restaurant about once a week. Why? The service is perfect. The waiters are polished, professional, completely trustworthy to take care of our needs just at the right time, and they are personable and warm human beings. It is like they are all the owners. The dining room has so ma...

The french toast was quite good, my over medium eggs had runny whites and they were cold, service was good. Lots of interesting characters were walking by as we ate in the front window.
This is an awesome place to eat in Cole Valley. The food is delicious and the portions are large. Great to share a few dishes with a partner or to take the leftovers home. You can make two meals out of the portions that they give you. The service has always been very friendly. Make sure to leave roo...

Remarkable experience. My Happy Breakfast set new standards for my future dining endeavors. Not only was my visit like an actual trip to China, but my food was a grade-A industry rated. You can get orange juice if you don't want coffee.
Authentic Southern BBQ is hard to find on the West Coast, but Nate's recipe fits the bill. Makes me feel like I'm back in Carolina. Go for the take-out. The restaurant itself lacks ambiance, but the flavor is worth a trip.
