I haven't been to the restaurant, but I was given the cookbook by a friend about 20 years ago (who LOVED the restaurant) and it has been a treasure!! Everyone who tries the dishes that I make from the cookbook asks for the recipes.

as unfancy as it gets, but the finest hickory smoked barbecue and sauces anywhere for miles and miles around.
If you like Italian food... this is the best place! My wife and I take all of our friends. Even though we live an hour drive away, it is well worth the trip every time we have made it!
Excellent food in an Alpine setting. Try the Cabbage Soup & Oven-grilled Duck with a bottle of Spatlese. Fit for a King...or a Kaiser ! I'll drive 4 hours for this one.
