Great people, great food !! The chicken fried steak is to die for !!

We are lucky enough to live only a few miles from the Ranch Hand. The food is always cooked fresh to order, everything is homemade even the croutons on the salad. Our favs include chicken fried steak, catfish, hamburger steak smothered in onion gravy, shrimps and hamburgers to mention a few. Everything is delicious. The prices are a bit higher than you'd expect to pay (most $10 up)but we think it worth it because the quality is great and the portions are HUGE!(expect to need a doggie bag) The large chicken fried steak is bigger than a styrofome take away box. They do have a lunch special M-F that are very reasonable. Last but not least, I must encourage you to get the sweet tea. The best tea in Texas!! I usually get water but not when I eat there.

The Ranch Hand is our favorite restaurant in the Cleveland area. The food is excellent, the prices are very resonable, and the service is great. One of our favorites is the chicken fried steak. My wife says the catfish is good too. This is great food at a great price... my wife and I give it two thumbs up!

Truly a great dining experience! My wife and I had heard of the Ranch Hand Cafe and were traveling through Cleveland on 3-6-09. We decided to check it out for lunch. They were in the middle of expanding the facility but we easily overlooked the construction as we enjoyed a fabulous meal. There were no skimpy portions and everything was the good, old-fashioned, homecooked meal just as advertised. Definitely a 5-Star experience!

If you want the best Homestyle Country Cooking in Texas this is the place to visit! Having heard about the Ranch Hand for several years, but had not visited it since it was only opened on weekdays, I was glad to hear it was now opened on Saturdays. We drove over an hour to visit the place.

It did not dissapoint! Helpings have to be seen to be believed (make sure to check out what other people are getting - it was half the fun seeing the hugh plates of food). The chicken fried steak was to die for!

It was so good we are going back this Saturday with some friends. Yes, we are driving over an hour again to eat here....something me and my husband have NEVER done. In fact, we are going here for Valentines instead of our usual trip to Perry's Steak House :)

This place is truly one of those "hole in wall" country restaurants that is a true diamond!
