It took 15 minutes to be seated with reservation even though only 1/4 full. Temperature was 85-90 INSIDE. Apologies about the lack of air conditioning were not enough. Sweat pouring off of the poor waitress -- even the hostess was sweating. Drinks with mixers were returned THREE times -- no carbonation. Eventually we gave up and ordered wine. Waters not refilled unless requested SEVERAL times. Cork in wine bottle was dry. Waitress struggled to open it -- made comments about the cork in front of us. Caesar salads very small and bland. Entrees good, but not prepared properly. Tuna ordered rare was well done, prime rib ordered medium rare was medium. Heat simply made entire experience so miserable we left without even thinking about a dessert or after dinner drink.

We visited on Dec. 28, 2006--ordered two appetizers--calamari was almost burnt--spinich dip was passable. Chicken Ceasar salad was almost dry--asked for more dressing and could swear what was delivered was out of bottle. One entre was whitefish--so small with small mound of rice--no vegetables--wine served in large glass and not even half-full. Other order was CrabLouie salad and that wasn't too bad--However, we thought $85 quite expensive for what we got. Service was very good, ambieance great but don't expect to see us again.
Curry pasta dishes are the best and like the other review.........the owner is a looker. Best looking legs in the world. Move over Tina Turner. Chris sometimes preforms during open mik night. Great violinist and vocals to match.
Wonderful place for a nice lunch and a great cup of coffee. The owner, Christina, is an awsome person and very easy on the eyes. She make each of her customers feel special.
BEEN GOING THERE FOR YEARS BUT IT SEEMS LIKE THE FOOD PORTIONS HAVE SHRUNK CONSIDERABLY. GREAT ENTERTAINMENT BUT IT SEEMS LIKE THEY RAISED THE MENU PRICES AND GIVE YOU SMALLER PORTIONS TO COMPENSATE FOR PAYING FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT WHICH IS NOT FAIR

What a wonderful place to enjoy brunch on sunday!
I will visit this restaurant next sunday for the third sunday in a row
We were treated exceptionally by the staff especially David Wannanmacker and his servers, Cassandra and Valentine. I was up from Chicago for the weekend and we ate there Saturday night and returned for the exceptional Sunday Brunch. It was fabulous and the total experience was delightful. I would gladly rave about the total experience and the professionalism of the staff. The food was ample and the presentation a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. We will return.

Food=Bad Service=Slow Interior=filthy and dingy Price= Way too much for what you get if they get it right. Only salvation is the lake. Worst restaurant in Milwaukee in the best location.
Great service and wonderful food. Tried the beer cheese soup, and was pleasantly suprised! Our waitress was very friendly (a tad perky) and efficent. Definantly go back.

The food was made incorrectly and it was very over-priced. We went for a birthday and were not satisfied with the experience at all.

The only redeeming quality of Pieces of Eight is the lakeside view. The food is overpriced and lacking quality; the portions are small.
i was disappointed. a majority of the items we were served were only luke warm. the prices were high which makes you expect quality. the restaurant had a bad fishy smell, but its location is ideal. dessert was awful - tasted old
