a diner from Houston, TX

Ate there on Saturday, 05.17.08. As I entered the chamber, I was met with a blast of LOUD sound from the so-called ENTERTAINERS! Seated at a table with a flickering candle, and no overhead light. Impossible to read the menu. Went to the restroom [not clean] to read the menu. The roast beef had been marinated in over-salted vinegar. Mushy potato [couldn't tell] pancakes. More oversalted gravy on the roast beef. The sound level from the "ENTERTAINERS" was so high that I could not carry on a conversation at my table without SHOUTING at my guests! This place is really a DUMP! No wonder it's called OLD Heidelberg restaurant! Don't waste your money here. This dump is extremely long in the tooth. No *s for this rat hole!
