About Nuevo Leon

We want to share with you the meals of a true Mexican authentic cuisine; we have original recipes that reflect the cuisine of Guanajuato and Monterrey. As in most countries, Mexico's cuisine is very regional. The food that we provide at our restaurant is a very fine mixture of two very distinct regions. The south-central zone is very rich in vegetation and is famous for the fiery hot spices and savory "guisos" (stews). Conversely, the north-eastern is very arid, much like West Texas. The cuisines like, char-grilled steaks and "cabrito" along with succulent tacos moreover exciting seafood dishes, are all staples here.

While trying to duplicate these recipes, we discovered the obvious. In order to reproduce the flavor and texture of each dish we would have to stick to the original family recipes and traditional cooking techniques that were used at the time these plates were created, accepting no substitutes or short cuts. We hope that by following these simple guidelines, you are able to experience the fine cooking instituted by our foremothers.

We believe our restaurant is based on family tradition and taste for good food, cooked with pride and served with hospitality. We welcome you and your guests.
