Gainesville Restaurant Guide

My husband and I took the kids to dinner last week and had the most wonderful experience while there. The server obviously loved children and paid special attention to our kids so that my husband and I actually got to have a conversation. The food was fantastic...I recommend the St. Jacob Saute, my husband had the Shrimp and Scallop linguini and both were incredible and we had leftovers for lunch the next day!!

There are no words to describe the wonderful food and atmosphere of Napolatano's. I LOVE it. Truly delicious meals, salads, seafood, burgers, and especially PIZZA and calzones! I think I've had just about everything on the menu and it's all great, to say the least. The owners are truly remarkable people and probably the nicest people you could ever ask to meet. I love, love, LOVE it there.

this is the worst excuse for italian food i have ever had... i had heard plenty of good things about the great italian food that napolatanos serves, and all i can think is that those people have never had italian before. the food was bland, the bread was soggy and had no taste, and the desserts come frozen from sysco, so you can't even give them credit there. this place is a joke.

Napolatanos is an instituion in Gainesville, and for good reason. I have to say, this is the type of place you either love or hate. Its not a chain, and doesn't try to be. Its at heart a mom and pop deal, and the couple in question are truely remarkable people. The food ain't gormet, but the loyal faithful here don't come for exotic fare, they come for the gut satifying american-italian that is mixed up in one of the biggest menus in this part of the world. Oh, and by the way, the pizza is INCREDIBLE. No, its not a shiny new mall chain, but in this world there are way to many of them anyhow. Go, eat, drink, be happy, and just know that its a REAL restaurant.

Just about the best italian food i've had in northern florida. The owners, dean and ginger were very friendly and wanted to make a good impression, which they did desserts were great.overall a pleasant experience served

The plates were dirty, the chicken was undercooked and the manager was unapologetic. I definitely do not recommend this restaurant unless you prefer lots of low quality food. The meal was bland (chicken florentine) although there was enough food for three meals. The waitress was fairly nice, but nothing could make up for the overall negative experience. Sadly enough, I would much rather have eaten at a chain like Olive Garden.

So much to choose from...the pizza is the best!!
