Mango Grove has delicious vegetarian Indian food! I have eaten here many times. I think the best value is the lunch buffet. Good price for a big variety.

I never write restaurant reviews but the previous review was so off I felt compelled to add my two cents. I used to live near there so I have dined at Mango Grove numerous times. And by numerous times, I mean at least once a monthy for more than a decade. I still go there, even though now i have to make the trip across town, rather than just driving down the street. I must say, I have never had a bad experience and the food is absolutely delicious. The owner is so friendly, and the staff is very helpful. The dosais and baingan bharta are my favorites, but my family likes the bhindhi masala, and the dhal. I've tried just about everything on the menu at one time or another and there has never been anything that was bad, but i definitely prefer certain dishes. I highly recommend the lunch buffet where you can try a variety of dishes for a nominal price. I have found that even the food on the buffet is skillfully prepared and tasty, where as some restaurants lose the quality in an attempt to mass produce food for buffets. I love indian food, especially South Indian food and this place is great. I urge any readers in the area, veg and meat eaters alike to ignore the previous review and check out this restaurant.

Absolutely pathetic tasting food. I am from South India where this restaurant claims it gets its food from. People are duped into thinking that this is how nasty the food from there tastes. It is not so at all. Should this restaurant exist in Bangalore for example, they would have been run out of town. If you would like a good south indian vegetarian experience, try woodlands or Udipi in Lanham, md. They aren't great but at least closer to the tastes of South India.
The service is poor, and the food far worse here at the Mango grove.

Not at all kid friendly. We went in a group of 10 for celebrating my cousins birthday we had two kids with us. We were asked to take them out and stand outside when one of ours was crying. There is no attempt to soothe kids, no crayons, nothing. more over we were asked not to go for buffet at once. This is very bad on their part you know. This spoiled our celebrity mood. The restaurent manager Chawla is not at all cooperative and not at all friendly. This is just our experience just wanted to share with others so that others will be proactive.......
