Sorry Bruo's, Francesco's, The Volcano, etc., no one can seem to hold a candle to Lacopo's Pizzeria. The food is fresh - really fresh and made on the premises. The family is wonderful. My family visits from as far away as Colorado, upper Michigan, Texas, California, New York and from as close as Indianapolis. When in South Bend, we always choose Lacopo's for the excellent pasta and sauces to the sandwiches and pizza. We love the Lacopo family and their fabulous, super-fresh ingredients! This is a true, authentic family business.

We have been fans of Lacopo's for nearly 20 years--it is the only place we go for meals when visiting South Bend. The ingredients are always fresh (they make their own sauces and grind the sausage, for example). In addition to the wonderful pizza, they also have great sandwiches and our particular favorite is the meatball sandwich. As a fully carry-out restaurant, the service is prompt and the food always hot and ready when we arrive after placing our order by phone. The staff--a family operation--is welcoming and despite being busy, they always have a moment to visit with the customers. The prices are more than fair--they charge less than they could and probably should for the quality provided. We wouldn't go anywhere else!

I love this place!! Too bad it is so far on the south side of South Bend. They do have a couple locations that offer Bruno's pizza, but it just is not the same atmosphere and people who wait on you.

If you love pizza Locopos Pizzeria is the place to go in South Bend. Their Lasagna is fantastic as well! Lacopos provides fast and friendly service and clearly its run by a family who cares about quality.

This is my favorite restaurant and the best italian food in this area. It is one of South Bend's best kept secrets!
I have been going to Lacopo's for 17 years. My favorites are the tortellini and the italian sausage sandwich. The service is wonderful, the food is always fresh and tastes excellent. I have never had a bad meal from Lacopo's. The only thing that would make Lacopo's better is if they had dine in service instead of carry out only. I love this restaurant!!!
