For those who know REAL Italian food, or are perhaps from the Northeast, you won’t find better anywhere in the region. This restaurant is like dinning in Italy. It’s also the only place that ever seen my Italian mother, who trained at the Culinary Institute of America, clean her plate… every time!
This evening I had a Zuppa De Pesce fra diavolo and it was amazing!
If you like artichokes, you HAVE to try them here. Gae has found a way to cook them with perfect seasonings that makes them, by far, the best I’ve ever had. In fact, they are the favorite part of the meal for my eight-year-old daughter… who also asks to have one for dessert. Yep, they are THAT good!
Also, make sure to order a house wine when you go. They are reliably good, but the really fun part is the pour. I kid you not! When Gae set down the glass of house Chianti that I ordered, I literally had to lean over and sip from it while it was on the table because it was too full to pick up without spilling. Plus, Gae doesn’t use those chintzy little glasses you get elsewhere, these are nice, big, pint sized glasses! I don’t know about you, but I’ve NEVER, ever had a pour like that anywhere… not even at home come to think of it. (I guess I’ll have to work on that.)
Last week, when I had endured a particularly bad day at work, I decided to soothe the day’s stress by going to Gaetano’s. Wow… I dare anyone to find a better way to decompress!

I love Gaetano's! Very relaxing atmosphere, almost like a famiy dining room. Personalized service from Gaetano himself and wondrous succulant sumptuous food. From the antipasto and and appetizers to the tender veal with fresh spinach and mozzarella, ending with cheesecake, it was a delicious experience, enhanced by excellent wine. Highly recommended.
