About Kyoto Sushi

Described as an oasis of Manhattan residing in Queens, our feng-shui inspired restaurant space imparts a Zen like atmosphere. A beautiful painting of a gold dusted Buddha imported from Thailand greets guests in the reception lounge while modern jazz music delights the ear. The aroma of sizzling Thai peppery beef wafts out of one of the cherry wood tatami rooms and in the sushi bar at the back of the room, the chef's knives gleam while delicately carving out the "Toro" of a tuna. All five senses are awakened with each visit to Kyoto!Kyoto's creative menu allows diners with diverse palates to choose from the earthy spices of our Thai dishes or the clean taste of Japanese cuisine. The sushi bar is constantly in motion with our master chefs creating a tasty as well as a visual feast just as pictured above. Those who crave our maki rolls with a modern twist, complement their meal with our signature sake infused cocktails and finish with a Thai dessert of fried bananas drizzled in honey will agree that this delectable pairing of cuisines unlocks the full flavor that both worlds have to offer.Kyoto Queens is on the border of the intersecting communities of Kew Gardens and Fresh Meadows, minutes away from Forest Hills. Since opening late 2004, feedback from the press and the neighborhood has been nothing short of amazing. We are rated at 9.3 overall on CitySearch and placed 5th overall in the Japanese food category as well as the 6th most romantic place to dine in 2005. Available for hosting birthday parties and bridal/ baby showers or just cozying up with your date in a semi-private tatami room, it has something for everyone. Stop in for a meal or call us for a delivery to your home!
