Restaurant Description

Karling's is a charming restaurant set in swiss chalet looking house. The restaurant has received Florida Trend Top 200 for 13 years. We are known for our roasted duck but our menu covers all tastes. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. All of our

My family has been going to Karling's for years, on every trip to Florida to visit my grandparents. My husband and I took my grandmother there in Dec 2008 & had a suprisingly horrible experience. Karling's must be under new management. Our orders were wrong. My grandmother's fish was cold in the center (it had simply been reheated). My "medium-well" prime rib special was bleeding. Our twice-baked potatoes had been baked twice and microwaved once as well...when you reheat a potato in the microwave, it burnse the bottom skin..this is what ours looked like. The owner/manager (a woman, and not the one that we have seen there for years) tried to shove a bottle of wine down my throat that I did not want & wasn't interested in drinking. When we politely asked them to cook my prime rib longer, she acted appalled that we would ask that & refused to do so. She was rude, irrational, and completely unrpofessional.

This place should absolutely be on Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. It was by far the absolute worst restaurant experience I have ever had.

This is an upscale, wonderful restaurant, with excellent food and service. We have been there several times and have not had a single bad experience.

Recieved 2 ea. Gift Certificate's for $25.00 ea.
after meal was done owner came over to table and said it was our 1st time there. We told her yes we had gotten the gift cert, thats why we were there. she said we could only use 1 cert, not both, we told her we had been to many place's and they all took both certs. she got rude and told us only way, to use it next time we come in, told her we would never be back, and gave the other gift cert to someone we don't like.
