They really should take the word "Philly" out of their name. No Cheese Steak restaurant ANYWHERE would use liquid cheese on a cheese steak sandwich except J Michael's. The manager at the MJ store told me this was a mistake when my wife and I were there last year, but we were served the same congealed cheese at the Oleander store tonight. Needless to say we walked out each time. This time never to return because nothing could be future from a "Philly" cheese steak sandwich. If you like liquid cheese from a can then J Michael's deli is the place for you. BTW, we ordered onion rings with are sandwiches. Apparently J Michael's thinks onion rings are an appetizer because they came out 10 minutes ahead of the sandwiches. Go figure.

I've been eating at the Philly Deli for approximately 25 years. I always get my favorite: the pizza steak & cheese. It is magnificent and only available at the Philly Deli. The meat is marinated in a most delicious sauce. The decor needs updating but I go regularly for the delicious food. My friends LOVE the fried mushrooms and the french onion soup. I highly recommend the food at the Philly Deli. Remember to ask for the bread to be baked "the old way" because they have recently chosen to shorten the baking time.
Josh the manager on duty was the worse manger I had ever seen. If he is a reflection of the upper managment I understand why this store has so many problems.
this is a very good mid range priced restaurant with fresh food and good service. our party of seven ate for about $100 with dessert. my favorites are the fried calamari and flounder. both were very fresh. I wish I could have tried the keylime pie bu

the bagels are pretty tastey....I just have to remove some of the eight pounds of cream cheese they pile on the bagel.....this place is pretty cool for the college-age and young adult age folks, just not somewhere I'd take small children.

Interesting response from the diner above. Probably a competitor that knows little. J. Michael's cheesteak components are authentic. Amoroso rolls are the Philly standard!

Poor excuse for a cheese steak.. Wilmingtonians have no idea what they are missing!
i would like to know if you ever considered selling franchises. if you are interested id really love to speak to you about it. i live in charleston south carolina. id love to open one here. i was a managing partner for morrison's cafeteria in wilmington years ago. i used to eat with you at your deli once or twice a week. the philly steak is unmatched. my number is 1-843-552-1827. call me if you are interested. thank you paul stabile
Excellent food and service. There is something for everyone but the cheesesteaks are unmatched outside of Philly. (Maybe better!) Very clean, friendly service, and TV and games for the kids. Once you try it, you'll be back!
