I was there on a Friday and a band was plying the food nice and we have a good time

great steak on Saturday! cheap drinks , bands play, it for a older crowd

Mainly an old school neighborhood bar with a small kitchen, I have enjoyed my times there. For drinking, the bar staff are friendly and very good at their job, beer prices range from average to excellent if either the Miami Hurricanes or Dolphins are playing, then it is $1 drafts, $10 bucket of five longnecks. I have to address the food in response to Mr. "tetanis" and his comment from 2007. Things may have changed since 2007 but if you want to come across as clever:
#1 - learn how to spell tetanus
#2 - figure out that tetanus is not a food or pest borne disease so totally irrlevent
#3 - go look in the kitchen for yourself
I did, it was small and not new but the work surfaces and floor were clean, the isolation of raw products was correct, and the overall food handling looked well above average for a kitchen of its size and age. The sandwiches are very good but their strongest menu items are the dinners, especially meat loaf, shepherd's pie and their incomparable steak special.
Come in and enjoy a real neighborhood bar with friendly people, good food and cold beer.

As far as food, bring your tetanis shot and your doctors phone number. For the fun I had it was great and will go back to drink but wont look at a menu.
