The variety of food and the price is a steal!! The food tasted fantastic, the waitstaff is extra friendly, the undersea murals on the walls are phenomenal, 5 stars for me!!

i eat there several times a year,never had bad food,waited 1 1/2 hours for a table on valentines because its worth the wait

My family met there to celebrate my birthday. We were a party of 12.We had good service & the food was good. As my birthday is in January it was very cold & we live quite a distance from the restaurant I thought I should use the restroom. I am in a wheelchair, we had parked in the handicap parking space they provide at the front door so imagine my surprise upon entering the restroom that there isn't a handicap accessible toilet. NO GRAB BARS nothing to assist someone in a wheelchair. I called the next day to speak to the manager, told him we had a good meal but that I was unhappy about the restroom he told me he only worked there & would tell the owner. I never received a call from the owner. Needless to say I believe they don't care if handicap persons use their restaurant or not. I can not go there again. They lost quite a bit of business.

If you don't want to cook Thanksgiving Dinner go to Harbor House. They fix a great dinner for a reasonable price and bring the meal right to your table. It's gets busy, you should make a reservation.

The mother of a friend of mine ate here several years ago with her family and got food poisoning. She later died of a heart attack brought on by excessive vomiting from the food poisoning. I have seen the kitchen in this establishment and frankly, I would rather eat out of a cat litter box! I don't know how the Macomb County Health Dept. allows this place to remain open.

Normally I don't do this but after reading the first review and how awful this customer's experience was I just had to - I love this place, I am a Downriver Girl and remember when the family owned a place in Riverview - not much has changed - the food is wonderful. The shrimp is the best. I have been here a number of times and have never had a problem (did have a slow waiter once but it was sooooo busy that day). Great value! Going back tomorrow!!!

I really enjoy the harbor house!!!!!!! I hadnt been in years since it moved for downriver. The only complaint is they need to better train there waiters/waitress. The young lady didnt even know the difference in white and dark meat chicken!!!! other that that is was GREAT!!!!!!

After the experience my wife and I had, I felt that it was my duty to save anybody else from having a similar experience. Upon entering the restaurant, there was nobody in the lobby to seat us. After waiting a few minutes we decided to seat ourselves. Finally a waitress came over, after what seemed like and argument with the manager. She brought a bread basket and fried mushrooms. The bread was burnt to a crisp and the mushrooms were ice cold. She took our drink order and said we had better hurry up and get to the salad bar before they "Broke it down". We went to the salad bar and found many of the items had run out, water logged salad, beets in the ranch dressing, and macaroni & cheese that was so hard you could not scoop it. Also, the spoon was so hot it burned my wife when she touched it. When we returned to the table I found the draft beer I had ordered, it was flat and tasted like warm bath water. After a few more minutes our waitress returned, I wondered why it took so long as there were only a couple of people in the whole restaurant, mostly what seemed like employees sitting around the bar. Amazingly all this was nothing compared to what happened next. An argument broke out at the bar. A guy at the bar was yelling very loudly about what seemed like employees, he yelled profanities and pounded on the bar. This guy must have been the owner because nobody called the police. I can't imagine a customer doing this and not being asked to leave. I looked at my wife and without a word we both got up and left. Going to the Harbor House was the worst dining experience that we have ever had. If a friend was talking of going to eat there, I would offer to pay for them to go somewhere else, that's how bad our experience was. I tried posting this review with no stars, but the site would not let me.
