Anchorage Restaurant Guide

THE best chinese/thai restaurant in Anchorage. Nicest owner, Mr. Yang. Wonderful family man.

Best thing is, food is EXCELLENT!! Try the Cheese Chicken, yummmmm!! Fresh green beans sauteed in fish sauce are great as well as the mongolian beef and the kung pao chicken! Best time to go is lunch as meals are cheapest and food is fresh and HOT. Only makes sense for a buffet! lol

After taking the trouble to order ahead by phone, I arrived to learn my order had not even been prepared! Instead, the owner tried to get me to get a take-out order from the puny buffet! (The old "bait & switch) He offered no explanation as to why my order had not been prepared, nor why I had not been informed on the phone when I placed my order.
Maybe the food is good, maybe it's not - I'm never going to know, because I am NEVER going back.

In Golden Pond all of the entrees on bar looked like they had been sitting there all day. The green beans were caked up in old sauce and sesame seeds and wilted looking. The entrees with
beef and chicken stock all had a skin over them and the vegetable and meat looked old, over cooked, and unappetizing.
Upon seeing that I was not going to be able to eat anything at this restaurant without fear of getting food poisoning, I returned to my table and my husband. My husband was still trying to eat his plate but I could tell he wasn't enjoying
it at all.

Golden Pond have been also known to sea n their foods with fats and sugars, which offset the poor quality of the food being served. You will experiecne how Fat and oily foods slow down
the flow of blood and fresh oxygen to your heart, tissues, lungs and brain. In only six hours after the meal, the clumping and
sludging of the blood becomes so severe that the blood flow actually stops in many of the small blood vessels. The effects of the fat from each meal will last for 12 or more hours and
can hinder blood and oxygen circulation all day, which deprives you of the power of alertness.

SAve the 10 bucks you want to spend there and feel free to spend in anyother restaurant in Anchorage, at least it will do you no harm.
