I've lived in Brownsburg for 16 years and had never been to Elegance. Got a coupon off of Restaurants.com for $25 off of $35 bill. First of all, it is very difficult to spend $35 for 3 people. We managed to do it by buying higher priced items and a couple of desserts. The food was so so. The desserts were horrible. The chocolate cake was completely stale and the bread pudding was devoid of any sweetness and served without a sauce. It tasted like Thanksgiving dressing with no seasoning. Although the soup was a large portion, I can't believe it was homemade. Tasted exactly like Campbell's Mushroom soup or a knock-off brand. In fact, all of the entrees tasted like pre-packaged stuff except for my daughter's panini sandwich, which she said was tasteless. With the coupon, we were required to tip 18%, which was figured on the total bill, including tax. Tips shouldn't be figured on tax, but for the service for the food. Plus, the service was slow and the waitress kept forgetting things we asked for. At least the food was served hot. I believe the problem with this restaurant is a too extensive menu, which makes them resort to pre-packaged cheap food instead of good old home cooking. Seriously, they should taste what they serve. We won't ever go back.

Our entire family, three generation, loves this restaurant! We've ordered all kinds of things and have never been disappointed. Favorites are the steaks and the shrimp appetizer!

I ordered the seafood broil ($19.99). I recieved 2 over-cooked shrimp (I could only choke down 1), a small chunk of Mahi-Mahi about half the size of a deck of cards (it was BAD fish, rotten), 3 sea scallops that were either half or thirds of a whole s ...

Elegance has an extensive menu at a reasonable price. But since their remodeling several regulars have opted to go to Flap Jacks their sister restaurant also in Brownsburg. The ambiance at Elegance is not as friendly as Flap Jacks who works very hard to please the customer. Elegance has an ad in the local paper weekly were as their other restaurants have so much business they don't need to advertise. While talking to others it seems the feeling is mutual. We are no longer comfortable at Elegance.
