We were drawn in by the beautiful architecture. The building was beautiful, inside and out. We were a bit put off by the lack of people there on a Saturday night, but gave it a chance. The service was good. The drinks were good. The food, on the other hand, was not too good. It was definatly not authentic Mexican food. There was way too much red onion in everything and the rest was just not good. Beautiful building and fine service but not good food. I will not be returning.

They have great nightly specials- which make the trip very worth it. the food is decent Mexican for toledo. The chips and salsa were a disappointment.

Wonderful place to eat. The food is terrific. Overall an enjoyable dining experience. Make a point to go there.

One of the worst Restaurants I have encountered - the food was horrible - the ambience was worse - and the service, although not horrible took entirely to long. Do yourself a favor and avoid El Matador.
