Rockford's oldest restaurant - Since 1931. Homemade German & American food at fair prices. New German bar added in 1998.
My wife and I dined there about two weeks ago and loved it. The food was great and the price was decent. I really enjoyed the choice in beers. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for a good German dining experience.

This was a late night on-the-fly stop. The kitchen was almost closed and they sat and served us anyway. The food was awesome and at a great price. The on tap beers were great and it was very cool they let you sample before buying. The beer garden area, though on a busy street had a great atmosphere to it. Overall, a very nice dining experience.

great service, fantastic prices, cant find a better value in illinois period.
Have been there a few times in the last month or two and realy enjoy the sausage plate. With the German music and the better than average beer menu it a treat for the whole family. My hat is off to the owners for keeping a great thing going!
