We were there on a very busy night, so service was slow but worth the wait. Portions were huge, staff were friendly, and the food incredible. Delicious Fried Green Tomatoes, Catfish, broiled grouper, collards, cheese grits, and the best hush puppies I've had in a long time. This is a hole in the wall... dirt parking lot, lattice separating diners from kitchen area and nothing impressive to the eye. We stopped only because no other restaurants were open at the time, and were amazed by the food... great taste.

Great restuarant and very good food especially for the price. They specialize in all you can eat specials but the oil problem has stopped that for shrimp and oysters, but hopefully they will continue that special again soon.

This was a nice place to eat. The food was good. The prices were fair. Their menu gave a selection of different dishes and sizes, which was a welcome change. Nice friendly atmosphere. It is a hole in the wall, but worth visiting. Much, much better than that place down the road whose name starts with "A"! I understand it is normal for the area to serve crackers, etc., before your dinner, but it would be a big improvement to see a fresh loaf of bread with butter served instead. At Coastal their dishes can be ordered to be grilled , which is great. One order we had was stuffed flounder, which was very good. While fried food is the main way of cooking in the panhandle, I personally would like to see more grilled and broiled food. I feel this restaurant offered dishes for every type for their customers and they do it with kindness. Nice place, nice friendly people, good prices and very good food. In my book, this restaurant is ten fold better than the restaurant that starts with an "A" down the road. Doesn't have a great view, but who needs a great view when you have good food served by very nice people!

Eaten there many times, always pleased. They go out of the way to help with small children which is great. Great value on seafood, not fancy but good food from friendly people.

Took my father for fathers day meal and was very pleased with the food - best seafood in the area. Service was fast and friendly. Portion was large, everything is homemade at the restaurant. Could not ask for more. Had the platter and everything was so delicious, can't wait to go back. A must for all if you are in the area. You won't be dissapointed.

This is absolutely the best place to eat in the area. Excellent food, great prices, unusual sides in addition to the regulars. Family friendly. We are often down at the coast and we eat there once a day.

This has to be the best kept secret in Florida. We travel to Panacea at least 4 times a year just to eat at the Coastal Restaurant. It's a "mom and pop" style place that's not fancy, but the food is outstanding, the portions are huge, and it's not just seafood. They serve breakfast as well as burgers, chicken, porkchops, etc. It is well worth the trip for fresh out of the water seafood! Beats any big name restaurant any day!
