Too bad there was not a .0001 star rating. That might be more appropriate. Went on a Sat. evening June 08, they were busy. We allegedly had reservations, but that did not help our party of 5. Still had to wait 45 min. Took a long time for service, an even longer time for food (a la carte, so I found out later in the evening). Spent way more money than I should have to get OK food. Some of my families was pretty salty (do what you must to cover poor chef abilities?) I had a $30 steak that was 2"x4" with peppercorn sauce. No garnish, no nothing.

If you want to go somewhere special, avoid this place at all costs. This was supposed to be our 27th wedding anniversary dinner. (It seems most of the food down at the Hudson River in Newburgh was pretty well the same quality, makes me wonder if the same guy owns them all!)

I was so relieved when my wife cooked the following night. Now that's a meal! And hers tasted 100% better. I told my wife, maybe I should pay her $30 per dish!

If I could rate this with 1/4 of a star I would!

For my birthday I got a gift certificate to a Cena 2000. We had never been and were really looking forward to going. My family and I got all gussied up and went last night. An Italian restaurant on the Hudson River, how could we go wrong? We looked forward to a good meal in a fancy restaurant.

We could not have been more disappointed. We were seated and 20 minutes later the waitress showed up with menus and took our drink order, 25 minutes later she returned with our drinks (three sodas) and took our orders. 15 minutes later we got the bread basket and water. 20 minutes later the waitress checked on us. 20 minutes later we got our meals. The food was mediocre at best, bland, served at room temperature, nothing special and not filling. We decided to get dessert - - BIG mistake. 25 minutes after we finished our meals, the waitress showed up with dessert menus and disappeared again......I had to use the ladies room. It was filthy dirty, mall restrooms are cleaner. On the walk to and from the restroom I noticed corks (from wine bottles), a used disposable baby bib, straw wrappers, chunks of food and other debris on the floor. It was disgusting. When I returned to the table the waitress still had not come back to take our dessert order. My daughter was hungry; again, our dinner was not filling. I flagged down the waitress and we placed our dessert orders, I politely said "it's a school night; please don't take your time". 20 minutes later she showed up with our desserts. I said, we'll need the check now, I figured we wouldn't see her again, so I nabbed her while she was there - - 15 minutes later she showed up with the bill, I said don't go any where - looked at the bill, gave her the gift certificate and credit card. The bill was for $103 - -. My husband and I are usually VERY GENEROUS tippers, we left nothing. The only tip I will ever leave for Cena 2000 is DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY at this place. You’ll get better service and Italian food at Pizza Hut.

**We went early on a Sunday evening, it was slow, there were customers at five other tables the largest party was a party of four, it was not a busy night. There is no excuse for the substandard service we received, the dirty conditions of the restroom and restaurant or the mediocre food that was served.

The food is delicious. It is real Italian food . The tomato sauce is not bitter or acidic , but , just right. The service was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to those who enjoy good food and a friendly environment.
