we held my daughter's wedding here. just a short ceremony followed by appetizers and dinner for 60.Even tho we met with management several times, when we got there no one present knew anything about our event. Our guest stood around while my husband and I did all the set up. only 2 people were assigned to serve and do drink orders. some of our guests were never served appetizers. even tho it was open bar, guests were getting up and paying for their own drinks because no one came around to them. wedding cake was amateurly chopped up. no coffee was served or offered. horribly embarrassing experience. do not trust these people with your special event.

My family and I have been loyal to CATCHES with both the old and new Owner(s)/Management.
We have always had great food and lots of it, wonderful service and the ambiance inside or out on the patio has always been great!
I don't know what criteria the negative commentors used, but in all the many times I have been there, NOT ONCE did I ever have anything but the most pleasant of dining experiences!
I have eaten in restaurants from Alaska, to Vancouver, West Coast to East and North to South and CATCHES has NEVER been a disappointment!!!

Amazed at rudeness of staff: inattentive, didn't take order or present food timely, had a "I can't be bothered" attitude; server (who had been talking on her cellphone behind the bar, very loudly discussing her child care problems with her boyfriend ...

What can I say .. WOW ... Words cant say how bad place was. food cold, intoxicated staff and high prices and thats the good of this place. Dont know what you might take home with you but its now a doggie bag.

Terrible experience for all in my party. To begin we asked for salad. The few leaves 2 tomatoes, some onions and lots of croutons isn't a salad. We had to ask for the rolls, they were not given automatically. As 1 of our party of 5 ordered a hambu ...

Dual personality. During day it is a pleasant comfortable river-side restaurant with respectible food at adequate prices. The ambiance is the key. However, at night it turns into a (the only words I could find) rough honky-tonk.

They have closed their doors, I'v never been so dissapointed in what the Past owners had do to a otherwise great place it use to be.

Valentines Day - Manager Gary made us feel that we were really valued customers. We ate in the bar area and service was excellent. Food, good with goodly portions. Would recommend anyone who was familiar with the "old" Catches to give the new one a try. Cocktails actually had enough liquor in them that you could taste it !!!

Hey, guys. Give this place a break. It's now under a new owner and things have REALLY changed. New menu and prices are very reasonable. Just re-opened earlier this month (December, 2008) from what I understand. Don't know much about the old place, but we enjoyed our group of 4 and everyone liked the food and service. Give it another shot. Love the openness of the inside.

We got the family together for Mother’s Day at Catches Waterfront Grille in Port Richey. What an AWFUL experience! Steer clear of this place. The food is lousy, the service is lousy, the management is lousy, the location is lousy, and the prices are lousy. Catches Waterfront Grille is a dreadful place to hold a family gathering, unless you want it ruined.

A major disappointment. Small portions, veggies tasted like they came from a freezer, fish did not taste fresh. More like a fast-food chain than a seafood restaurant.
