Repeated visits to this restaurant have impressed me. Lightly fried seafood lunch special on Fridays is incredible, as is the seafood gumbo that comes with it. Roast Beef poboy is spectacular, and was a five napkin sandwich!!! (Ah yes, the messier the better.) Superb service was quick, attentive, and my glass was never empty. Kudos to you, and I will be a customer for life.

We visited this restaurant a few months ago and swore we'd never return. After a very long wait to order our food, I ordered a simple salad. After 30 minutes of additional waiting, I received the warm and limp salad that was coated with dressing and thought I'd better eat it because who knows how long it would take to get a new one. About half the way into it I found rotten lettuce. My husband's meal was also terrible and he only ate because we were late for a meeting and we had no alternative. The rudeness we encountered that day from our waitress hasn't been matched at any other restaurant in town. I would put this little, cramped cafe on the bottom of my list of places to visit.

Well, I must say that this has to be the best place (so far) in Baton Rouge. As a Texacan and living growing up on the border of Mexico, I think I know my Mexican food. The service was perfect.
