The restaurant is actually STILL in business and the best Mex I have had in the valley. There is a new owner and the food and customer service is definitely 5 star. Love the baby bandito's and their one of a kind dip.

The food is great, but yes, the service sucks. I have also had a few instances where the order was wrong. And they have overcharged me a few time in which I wasn't offered the differnce back, just offered a drink. I believe that is directly related to the fact the staff barely speaks english. I can deal with that as long as my order is correct and I'm charged properly.

Hal O Penos Mexican Cafe has reopened on the NWC of 51st Ave and Northern. Best Mexican food on the West side is back. Sun thru Thurs 11am to 9pm; Friday thru Saturday 11am to 10pm.

Please if anyone finds that they have relocated, post it here. I'd gone there for 17 years. No one has a better Pollo Fundito. The food and service were awesome

I love their food, however there is no customer service at all. I order from them all the time and I have had 3 incidents now where they have made error from not including sauce specially requested or forgeting half my order of food and they take no ownershoip of this mistake at all. They accually request you to come back to the store to correct their mistake. I am not sure if I will ever eat there again and that is a tragedy because I really enjoy the food.

We eat at Burrito Bandito almost every weekend for their Menudo and Pesole. I also enjoy their tacos, enchiladas and mexican pizza and baby banditos. Thuderbird & 43rd Ave location has seating for more people during dinner.
