Welcome to Blue Grotto, come visit a friend with a new attitude. Come home to this Federal Hill landmark and immerse yourself in a wide array of Italian cuisine. Enjoy old world favorites, classic preparations, and contemporary offerings in a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. This is not your grandfathers Blue Grotto. Send yourself back in time with our Osso Buco and Braised Rabbit. Dive into our contemporary twists, such as our famous Sweet Potato Gnocchi, Lobster and Shrimp Scampi, and our home made Lobster Ravioli. Our award winning wine list is comprised of over 400 selections, 35 by the glass. You will find a great selection of Italian and California gems in all price ranges. What we are most proud of is our selections of wine by the glass. We offer choices on many of our varietals, and there are 27 varietals to choose from. If you're unsure, you can try one of our several flights. If you're feeling adventurous you can sip on one of our Wine Inspired Cocktails. We take our wine seriously as our cuisine.

Blue Grotto is an oasis in the Sea of Norm. I travel a lot for business and am lucky to try many different restaurants around the country. We had a meeting set up at the Blue Grotto last week for 35 people. Typical business dinners offer low cost choices that leave most wanting more. Not at the Blue Grotto. 3 different appetizers, 4 different entree choices with Fresh Lobster Scampi, Filet and Veal Saltimbocca. Then 3 choices for Dessert. It was fantastic. I will definitely make it a point to choose Blue Grotto for our next business dinner.

Truly a gem in Providence. The Blue Grotto IS Federal Hill to me. The food never disappoints, the menus are changed each season and always make my mouth water. The biggest winner is the wine list. There are pages and pages of different wines, I always try something new and the servers are incredibly knowledgable, and are always there with a good suggestion. If you are looking for true Italian flavors in a relaxed atmosphere look no further.
