H&H has got me hooked with their tres leches. My husband had a very flavorable steak although I wasn't thrilled with the white bean cakes this evening but I've had enough good meals there to keep coming back. Plus they have a special coupon you can buy that gives you $25 worth of food for like $10 and sometimes even less if you follow ActiveDiner on Twitter. They announce insanely cheap specials that way! Go ActiveDiner!! Now you can't beat that (there is a $45 minimum). You should try this restaurant!

We couldn't to wait to get back to this place. We almost had a family feud over the left over Tres Leches cake from last week. Last week was a budget blower though as we order so much food! We couldn't help it though because everything sounded (and was) so good. This time we chose to go more economical and ordered their succulent wing special of 30 wings for only $7.50!

On Saturdays they have 5 wings for $1.25. We still couldn't resist getting the gnocci appetizer and the fried shrimp one as well. Oh I almost forgot to rave about their french fries. They are AMAZING! I'm not kidding either. They are the best french fries I've ever had and completely homemade, not from the deep freezer. I'm not sure how they achieve their fluffy inner and crunchy outer texture but I'm just glad they do!

For dessert we enjoyed the tres leches once again and also tried the brownie. It was good but the tres leches is the outstanding dessert that the brownie had a hard time living up to. It's good though and has nice chunks of caramel in it. I'm so in love with this place and amazed and elated that it's actually in the Triad. I don't work here and I'm not a friend or relative of someone who does. I'm just an honest, non partial, foodie that stumbled upon a winner. Give it a try!

We found this place by accident because we had planned on going to Sweet Potatoes through unfortunate events we were not able to dine there. Fortunately for us, we landed here at H&H with a beautiful day for outdoor dining in downtown Winston Salem. I have to say this place rocks with all the best dishes from around the U.S. and Internationally! From Moravian Chicken Pie that is famous here in Winston Salem to a roasted eggplant dish in Istanbul, Turkey, there is something here for everyone's liking. They have a weekly wing special for 5 wings costing only $1.25. We are not talking about those dried wings people throw in for as a token gift but truly juice and plump wings with a spicy homemade sauce. We also ordered the Gnocchi for an appetizer and it was tender and cheesy. Nice to see someone really doing it right.

For my meal I ordered the NOLA seafood dish and it was awesome! Even my 6 year old son who doesn't like seafood much enjoyed my dish. My 11 year old daughter who has the same palate as me said it was the best tasting scallops she has ever had. My wife ordered the Spinach Pie and it was also very very good. We believe they made the pasta in-house and fused with a silky tomato sauce that was definitely homemade. We finished of the lunch with the Tres Leches dessert which was amazing! We scarfed down the dessert in 30 secs and ordered 2 more to go because we were all stuffed and could not take another bite.

Overall, this restaurant is a real gem here in Winston Salem! We definitely welcome more of these type of restaurants here in the Triad.
