My wife and I went for the Friday night haddock fish fry and were very pleased with the whole experience. The fish, cole slaw and French fries were great and there was no problem with the service. So we recommend Ashley's.

My wife and I were looking for a local non-chain restaurant to eat lunch when we happened to come upon Ashleys. We were seated and while awaiting the server, noticed framed photographs of various spots in the restaurant on the walls with "wispy" images. I pulled out my Blackberry and found that we had found ourselves in a genuine haunted restaurant. I kept begging my wife to go to the ladies restroom since that appears to be a spot of frequent ghostly sightings. She eventually did, but nobody was home this day. It was definitely an unexpected change of pace for the day. The food was very good (fried shrimp and scallops)and the server was very friendly.

I first went to River Rock with my realtor. We had lunch outside on the dock... it was ok but needed some cosmetic help. Well it got it. the place is fantastic and the food is great.

I live right down the street from this place and go there all the time. It looks like a run down (almost) dump from the outside, but I intentionally look for those kind of places...they usually have the BEST food. This place is no exception. I get ...

We visited Ashley's without knowing anything about the menu or atmosphere. We had a very nice dinner, reasonably priced with good quality and great service.
We will definitely be back! The Saturday night special, steak and crabs, was delicious!

Stumbled across Ashleys while trying to find a place to eat at 9:45pm. What luck there kitchen is open till 10pm. Thursday is .35 wing night so we ordered 30, some of the best wings I've ever had. Bartender said Friday night special is fish fry Friday. So we went, HUGE piece of haddock, fries and coleslaw for $9.95 and it was tasty. Well we were told Saturday is steak and snow crab night. So for the third night in a row back to Ashleys. Six ounce marinated sirloin, 12 ounces of snowcrab clusters, baked potatoe, small side salad and rolls for $12.95 and it was very good. For the price Ashleys cannot be beat.

What a dissapointment - we'd been there before and enjoyed the experience, no so yesterday 3/20/09. The server was unpleasant and left the drinks in the center of the table, the bread plates were cheap plastic and dirty one plate was craked and another had some kind of residue on it, the salad was stale and listless - when the entree arrived the srver handed the plates to us ignoring the fact that we had still to finish our salad. One of our party found a long black hair in her fish and my plate was covered with fingerprints - the food was barely edible, I doubt if we'll be back - awfull!!!

Ashley's is located along route #1 just south of Rockledge, Fl. The exterior is sort of English tudor and is quite old. A unique place, worthy of a visit. Casual dining is the rule and this is one of those places that the locals tend to keep to themselves for fear it will be overrun by snowbirds and tourists - fear not, you'll feel right at home and part of the crowd when you walk through the door.

Upon entering you'll find yourself faced with a large bar and several large tv's, lot's of stained glass, and a general atmosphere of days gone by.

The best dining area is up the narrow stairs where seating surrounds the open area above the bar. The walls are old wood with many memories embedded within. To enhance the experience, the railroad tracks are only a few feet away and when one rushes by it's a rush.

Wednesday is steak night and you can get a very good marinated sirloin steak, baked potato, salad or soup and delicious garlic rolls all for $10.99

The servers are very nice and helpful.

A previous visit and an order of eggplant convinced me that steak night is when you should visit Ashley's.

While dining, please pay attention to any softly closing doors or creaking floor boards and you may just catch a glimpse of THE GHOST OF ASHLEY'S!

You'll find the story of the ghost on the back of the menu.

Stopped by on a Saturday evening...5:30 p.m. and was surprised to find the "Early Bird" menu still in effect untl 6:00. Excellent food! Stuffed mushroom appetizer, good. Breaded fried Tilapia - great. Wife had Liver and Onions and was so much she had to bring it home...but it was excellent. Service was great as it has always been when I visited.

Great place, great food. They have apps, stuffed mushrooms, poppers, cheese sticks and daily dinner apps. Daily lunch and dinner specials. Early bird specials as well. Menu is varied, salads, sandwiches, 100% angus burgers, awesome steaks and seafood. Prices range from $6.00 to $25.00 for a surf and turf.

Two level indoor dining, and also a very nice back patio. They have the NFL ticket with 12 TV's between inside and outside.

This place is not your Brevard average "mom pop" place. They take pride in their food and the quality of it, and it shows. It's the place to go for great tasting food and even better prices.

Also, Wednesday is steak night $10.99 and Friday is fish fry night $9.99.

Don't just keep driving pasted it, try it out!

The food is very good and the service staff nice and friendly. The atmosphere is dim...adds to the stories of ghosts. The restaurant does rattle and shake when a train passes by right behind the building. We would go back and dine again.

For those of you that don't know this, Ashley's is known to be haunted. I went there with my family for my sisters birthday and it was only her second time back, our first. One major rumor is that the ladies powder room is haunted, so my sister and I went to check it out. This little girl was in front of us and she opened the door to the restroom, she looked terrified like she had known the place was haunted too, there were two doors to get into the restroom and she went flying through the second one and running into the stall and locked the door. I guessed she was in a hurry to get back out of there. Meanwhile, my sister and I looked around the powder room and the lights started to flicker, so we got out of there. Back at the table, she told me to ask the waitress if I could see the ghostly register. I did, and she brought it to me. It tells of all the stories, and ghosts that are supposed to be there. I was reading one story when my sisters boyfriend started reading another one out loud to me. It was about a little girl about six years old who was killed in a car accident right in front of the resraurant. My sister and I were like, wow. About the little girl in the restroom. I just can't get that little girls face out of my mind, she looked so scared. But now, about the restraurant. The food was excellent, from the appetizers to the desert. I would definately reccomend you to visit this place.
