was really excited about this hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant. The owner of the restaurant waited on our table, which was a nice touch. She was interactive and humorous. She also made solid recommendations and was very attentive to our needs.

I had a great time. This place is very friendly AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD. I had 1.25 tacos which were over the top delicious. They have homemade tortillas super super great. I will be returning pronto.

Poor food, poor service, terrible value - we won't be coming back.
FOOD:
Shrimp fajitas - shrimp were rubbery, overcooked, still in the shells and not deveined, a major inconvenience - I have to assemble the fajita, they can at least peel the shrimp. seasoning on the outside of the shell doesn't really do anything. The shrimp had an odd, unpleasant aftertaste. At least the tortillas were good. For a mexican place with an abundance of seafood decor, and being one of the more expensive menu items, you would think they could get this right.
The $7 "Table Guacamole" was overloaded with onion, watery, and below average. Shrimp cocktail was the only decent thing (and the shrimp were peeled).
Service: We are very laid back with waitstaff but our experience here was terrible. All the staff was hanging out in the kitchen so we eventually sat ourselves. After handing our menus she just stood there and stared with an unfriendly look and without a word. After an uncomfortable silence we assumed she wanted drink orders. We had to flag her down for refills, and our check.
The atmosphere was very low-key and what you might expect from an authentic tex-mex place, except maybe the AC was out, because it was at least 80 degrees inside the restaurant, and we were all sweaty when we left. Also. there were flies all over the place.
Most of the patrons were Hispanic, which is usually a good sign at a TexMex place, but the waitstaff made us feel unwelcome. Maybe there was a language barrier, because she barely spoke to us.
Kids' choices were mostly american food - the cheeseburger oddly had a double-patty with sliced ham on it(?!). We should have just ordered a la carte for them.

I had a great time , they have cheap tacos 99cents and they have live entertainment ( mexican karoke) I had the fajita tacos , they have mostly beer and tequila , mostly hispanic people. little kept secret
