Housed in a beautiful gambrel-roofed turn-of-the-century home high above La Malbaie, overlooking the river, this a warm and gracious setting for a loverly dinner. Here you will find an elegant dining room in which you will enjoy the highest expressions of Quebec's sophisticated, yet vey local, culinary traditions. Snails, house smoked salmon, quail, duck, bison - all delicious and interesting preparations. Excellent Quebecois cheeses and Mistelle, an apple cider-based liqueur and Voila! A memorable evening. My only criticism were that the service, while very friendly and attentive, was slow. Perhaps they were understaffed in the post-New Year's lull. In any event, plan to spend several hours there if you order the Table d'Hote menu. It is well worth it!
