Villaggio Restaurante

Centuries of history surround you. This building has served many masters for innumerable purposes. Initially, it was built as a garrison for shelter and to provide defense from Indians and the enemy. Later, it was a farmhouse; used as a stopover for weary travelers, as well as a tavern where its residents fed the American soldiers who passed by the homestead. In time, the Manse was frequented by busy stagecoach traffic. The history that encompasses the building's uses is diverse and colorful.

Billerica is especially proud of the Manse. Today, the house remains on its original site. The carefully maintained tavern now houses Villaggio, where the mood is festive and the cuisine provides a memorable dining experience in a unique atmosphere.
